The Purpose of this Blog

Hey Everyone,
I am not sure who will be reading this blog exactly. The purpose of this blog is to keep everyone updated on what has been happening in my life. As many of you know already I am first heading out to an Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota and will be running a sports camp as well as working with mission groups. Then right after I finish with this adventure I head out to Honduras to take on another adventure. I will be teaching there for a year and experiencing a whole new culture. During this next year or so I will be seeing and doing a lot and this blog will make it possible for people to keep up to date because if it comes to me sending individual emails then no one will know what is happening at all with me because I am terrible at keeping in touch. So this will be my best attempt at keeping in touch. I invite people to send me emails at jake.compaan@gmail.com I will do my best to respond in a timely fashion to them. Also if you would keep me in your prayers over this next year that would be greatly appreciated because I am sure there will be many challenges ahead in my future. Also leave me comments as well because especially when I am in Honduras I am sure I will get lonely and will appreciate knowing that people still think about me once and a while.
